|Please read AQUATIP 1 first. I have been maintaining pools in my back yard for over two decades. Before salt systems become popular, I was adding chlorine and many other chemicals to my pool like most people. What a headache that used to be. |
Salt systems ARE NOT maintenance free. However, I am in my fifth year with a salt system and I am sure 10 to 15 minutes a week on average is all the time I dedicate to keeping my pool looking great. And this includes cleaning the skimmer baskets, backwashing the filter, etc. I have found salt systems to be another move up in technology to give us all both more leisure time and a more enjoyable life. Before I had a salt system pool, I looked at my pool as a monster in my backyard, constantly feeding it my time and money. Now, I swim laps in my pool in the summer months. I love the way the salt water feels. Remember, the salt level in a salt system pool is close to the same level as the salt in our bodies. Very close to the salt level in a mother before her child is born. Thank you for your time and attention.
